2022 Season:

2022 Contest of Champions, National Grand Champions -West Ranch High School Dance Team

The West Ranch Dance Team from West Ranch High School in Stevenson Ranch won overall National Grand Champions at the 2022 School Dance and Drills Nationals Contest of Champions held March 4 to March 6 in Orlando, Fla.

This award was based on the highest scores out of 300 performances from 80 schools across the nation.

For the 2022 season, the team has 14 girls and is led by Sr. Captain Sam Jones, Sr. Captain Liv Abraham, Sr. Captain Ava Markovich and Junior Captain Aubrey Rogers.

During the 2021 Season, the West Ranch Dance Team was the undefeated West Coast Elite Regional Grand Champions winning three out of three competitions and earned the title National Grand Champions for the 2021 season.

The team’s Medium Contemporary dance placed first at all competitions and had the third overall highest score of any dance at Nationals. The Medium Lyrical dance choreographed by Coach Tammie Johnson was undefeated winning first place at all regional competitions and placing Best in Category at Nationals.

2018-2019 Season

West Coast Elite Long Beach 3/15 3/16 Results:

Congratulations to our talented ladies for an amazing season.  West Ranch Dance Team ended their season strong this weekend.

They came home from their final competition at West Coast Elite nationals with 3 titles: National Champions of Small Jazz, National Champions of Medium Contemporary, and the National Champions for Best in Jazz for the highest scoring jazz dance of the competition.

They also had a dancer in the Top 15 overall soloists.

Contest of Champions in Florida 3/1/19 Results:

The team won the NATIONAL GRAND CHAMPIONS title!

They were named High Point Champion, with the single highest scoring dance team in the entire competition out of more than 400 dances.

They also are coming home with 5 first place national titles, as well as the X-small classification award, highest scoring lyrical award, highest scoring contemporary award, and a choreography award.

Congrats to Coach Tammie Johnston and all the dancers!

WC Elite Competition Saugus 2/23/19 Results: 

The team had a successful weekend at their last regional competition at Saugus High School.

They came home with 3 first place awards Small Lyrical, Small Jazz, Medium Lyrical, 3 second place awards Medium Contemporary, Small Hip Hop, Small Contemporary, as well as the Best Technique award for their small jazz dance.

In addition, all 11 soloists on the team placed in their division, with 3 soloists Julia, Isa & Sam placing in the top 15 overall highest scoring solos out of 144 soloists for the day.

West Coast Elite Competition Glendale 1/26/19

First Place: Small Jazz, Small Hip Hop, and Medium Lyrical

2nd Place: in Small Lyrical,  and Medium Contemporary

3rd Place in Small Contemporary

To top it all off, we were awarded 1st runner up Grand Champs!

Our soloists also had a spectacular day with West Ranch being represented in every grade and with Julie Izu placing 3rd overall and Maddie Large placing 8th overall.
